Bio
Dr. Mohammad Teymouri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Construction and Concrete Industry Management at South Dakota State University (SDSU). His research interests focuses on both methodological and empirical studies, aiming to promote the sustainable development of civil and construction materials. Dr. Teymouri is actively recruiting undergraduate and graduate students with interests and backgrounds in concrete durability, concrete sustainability, data analysis, and Life cycle assessment (LCA).
Dr. Teymouri is currently working on multiple research projects including low carbon concrete using Type IL cement, supported by the Portland Cement Association. His research aims to develop a new generation of concrete structures with a low carbon footprint that are more cost-effective, longer-lasting, and better performing in extreme conditions.
Main Research Interests
- Low carbon concrete
- Novel supplementary cementitious materials
- Alkali-activated concrete (Cement-free concrete)
- Sustainable construction materials
- Concrete durability
